Do you know what the largest organ in your body is? It’s your skin! Your skin is a living, breathing organ that serves many functions. It’s helps to eliminate toxins (one of the main factors that contributes to acne!), it also regulates your body temperature (that’s why you sweat–air conditioning!), and it protects you from harmful invaders.

By working with your skin and not against it you pave the way to an enhanced healing of the skin. Your skin will look and feel better; it will become more even toned and vibrant.

Many acne sufferers are doing exactly the WRONG things to eliminate their problem. It’s possible to do what “conventional wisdom” tells you to do and actually worsen your acne. If you do any of the following, it might be causing your skin to look unhealthy a sick:

Smoking: Besides lung cancer, heart disease and early aging of your skin (e.g. wrinkles), smoking causes the contraction of the small capillaries and blood vessels of the skin, thus depriving your skin from the essential oxygen I needs for the creation and maintenance of healthy cells.

TOPICAL STEROIDS: OTC and prescription cortisone creams can be very potent and they can also cause thinning of your skin. They can cause redness and irritation , and other side effects. Cortisone creams address the some of the SYMPTOMS of acne but they do nothing to help with the CAUSES of acne. Just like taking an antacid does nothing to change the spicy food in your stomach, cortisones can mask symptoms instead of eliminating the causes. Try a natural substance like diluted tea tree oil, instead.

Antibiotics. Antibiotics like tetracycline can cause stress and damage to your liver, so be careful to follow your doctor’s orders if you use them and eat yogurt every day. Yogurt contains generous amounts of “good” bacteria (acidophilus) which is necessary for good digestion and skin health. Antibiotics can be very effective if used properly and they have saved millions of lives, but treat them with respect or unwanted side effects can occur.

Four-In-One-Blades. During an active case of acne, you need to be gentle to your skin. Unfortunately, frustration and self-loathing due to acne can cause us to treat our skin rougher than we should. Using four blades instead of a single blade cartridge can cause severe irritation and, by slicing the “head” off a cyst, expose it to infection and scabbing.

Four-in-Ones can cause permanent scarring if used improperly. If you have bumps, scabs (from squeezing), or cysts, use a single-blade cartridge.

Picking, Popping, and Squeezing. Never, ever, EVER touch, pick or squeeze your acne or zits! Even though there’s a strange sort of satisfaction that comes from extracting a zit, it’s not safe. Popping your acne will make your acne worse by aggravating your existing inflammations and pushes the puss deeper and into the pores of your skin. There are safe and effective ways of dealing with small whiteheads or blackheads but I strongly recommend leaving that to a skin care professional. Squeezing acne is almost guaranteed to leave scars on your skin that will NEVER go away.

Excessive Vitamin A. Vitamin A from natural sources (such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, and veggies) and in small quantities in the form of a supplement can significantly enhance the healing process of your skin. When taken excessively it can damage your liver and cause severe health problems and other side effects. Pay attention to the dosage instructions on the bottle and do not exceed them!

STEROID CREAMS FOR ROSACEA. It’s just common sense that you should avoid using preparations that cause redness and swelling on rosacea. Always consult a skin-care professional before using steroid creams on rosacea.

Acne can damage one’s self-image. In some ways, it can be worse than a more debilitating disease. Luckily, acne is not permanent and most cases can be resolved by making a number of minor lifestyle changes. No pill or potion can address the root causes of acne–that’s up to the individual–and no chemical “fix” will eliminate acne forever. By making a few lifestyle changes, you can get rid of your acne quickly, easily, and permanently.

Yes there really is a natural treatment for acne and zits. Before you spend another day suffering and before you spend another PENNY on acne medicines, visit TreatmentForAcneAndZits.com to discover how you can treat your acne naturally.
